In the 21st century the demand for alternate fuels for transportation is increasing day by day. Because of the environmental issues by the use of fossil fuels. So keeping in mind the future demands. This paper proposes the design and working of an electromagnetic reciprocating engine, so the Internal Combustion engine can be replaced by an electromagnetically driven reciprocating engine. Our main aim is to banish the use of fossil fuel. The engine working principle is the magnetic force principle, the idea is, to use electromagnetic force to drive the piston and produce power. A magnetic field is produced by supplying current to the electromagnet, so the pistons to and fro movement is obtained because of the alternating attractive and repulsive force of the magnets, which is responsible for the movement of the vehicle. Permanent magnets like neodymium or samarium-cobalt are used. A nonmagnetic rigid cylinder block is used to support the cylinders & piston. Thus we can run the vehicl.

The age of power transmission evolving from steam engines to internal combustion engines and then to electric power. This electric power can be further simplified and used in the form of an electromagnetic engine. Magnetism is the basic principle of working for an electromagnetic engine. The general property of magnet i.e. attraction and repulsion forces is converted into mechanical work. We plan to change the conventional engines with a new class of engine which work on principle of magnetism electromagnetism and AC magnetic fields. We can say that no such engines exist which can produce no emission and does not take time for starting(charging of battery in electric engines) and the concept of using ac magnetic fields is new for these engines making them much more efficient.

Trade Has Been Seeing To End Its Dependency On Oil. Moreover Currently The Need For Fuel Has Amplified And In The Near Future, Scarcity Of Fossil Fuels Is Being Expected Due To Their Endlessly Growing Consumption. The Present Work Focusses On The Development Of Electromagnetic Engines As An Alternate For The Existing Fuel Combustion Engines. Various Probabilities Were Carried Out In Developing An Electromagnetic Engine And The Magnetic Flux Produced By The Electromagnet To Give Required Force To The Piston And Power Output Produced By Engine Were Calculated.

This paper reports an investigation that was carried out in a magnetic engine is according to the concept appears to be a so-called "perpetual motion machine". Here you will find its images, patent, and also you will learn information from his production and testing. The Black pointer on the disk indicates the position of piston. It is evident that with the closed shutter the piston is located stably in the upper position, and shutter renders the valuable screening of magnets, fulfilling the functions described by me. Further, with the discovery of shutter piston accomplishes reciprocating motion. The stored energy of flywheel continues to move piston to the upper position. Work: the displacements of the shutter = of 0,444 the displacement of piston = 1,251.

The electromagnetic piston engine is a kind of reciprocating engine that works on the principle of electromagnetism i.e like poles attract and unlike poles repel each other. The engine consists of the same basic parts as that of a conventional engine, the piston, the connecting rod, the cylinder and the crankshaft. The electromagnet used in this paper is an AC solenoid magnet and the crankshaft, connecting rod are made of mild steel. The piston has a neodymium magnet attached to the top as this magnet is extremely powerful. When the magnet and the solenoid are of opposite poles, the piston attracts moving the solenoid from BDC to TDC. Once the solenoid changes poles and become the same pole as that of the magnet, it repels and pushes the piston from TDC to BDC. The engine built in this paper is a 4 cylinder V4 configuration engine. The results of this experiment and project is that as of now, this engine cannot be used to lift high power loads and cannot be used for large vehicular .

In our modern scenario with increasing population use of energy resources such as fuels from crude oil increases and the amount of resources decreases as the time increases. So, in near future there will be limited amount of fuel to overcome this problem the project focus on the zero-fuel consumption. The working principle is based on the electromagnetism. Here the hollow cylinder contains coil which produce the magnetic field and at top of the piston is made up of the ferrous rod. When the current is supplied due to pulls force of the solenoid the ferrous rod gets pulled with great amount of force. Thus, the reciprocating motion is achieved, and some IC engine components and electronic circuits are used to control the motion.

In modern science and technology there is a demand in fossil fuels. Nowadays scientists are searching for an alternative fuels. This project is one of the main power sources for the automobile engines. This project is to describe the construction and design of a V-type magnetic piston engine, which operate with the help of electromagnetic force. This mechanism is entirely different from normal IC engine mechanism. It works with electromagnetic effect and repulsion of magnetic force instead of fossil fuels. It consists of, two permanent magnet and two electro magnet. Electro magnets are mounted on the cylinder head and the permanent magnets are mounted on the piston head. Here not using spark plug and valve arrangement. Electro magnet contains copper windings. Electro magnets are getting power supply from the battery by suitable voltage. The piston contains permanent magnet moves from TDC to BDC and BDC to TDC which will result, convert reciprocating motion into rotary motion of crank shaft. Power supply from battery to the electro magnets are controlled by micro controller with help of power splitter, timer and relay switch arrangement. [2]

In the first part of this project, different methods for electromagnetic propulsion such as Maglev, Electrodynamic, Inductrack Project, Rail guns, Propulsion using Halbach Arrays, Electromagnetic Thrusters are studied. These concepts are studied and analysed for better understanding of electromagnetic systems. On the basis of literature Review a simple mathematical model to determine the magnetic field components in an axially magnetized PM will be presented. MATLAB codes are written to evaluate the magnetic field components. Based on the results electromagnetic analysis is done using a commercial FEA software. The forces acting on the permanent magnet is obtained by the analysis. Further study is made on different parameters to establish a relation between parameters, and to obtain maximum propulsion. Theoretical analysis has helped to obtain optimized configuration for greater propulsive force. Based on the analysis and study a simple model is fabricated to evaluate the design. Ma.

The increasing demand for fuel conservation has led to the growth of research in developing electromagnetic engine. The existing Internal Combustion (IC) engine requires fuel for the operation. Hence, the demand for fuel has increased. An important fact to be taken into account is that fuel is a non-renewable source. This reason makes alternative sources of energy to become necessary. It is time to replace non-renewable energy with renewable source of energy. This paper presents a research based on the development of Dual Electromagnetic Engine (DEE) by increasing the force of the electromagnetic attraction. The consideration of various factors in developing an engine resulted in the new, clean and green renewable energy source. The magnetic attraction force is considered into account and latter is converted into mechanical work. The electromagnetic engine operates similar to combustion engine by rotating a crankshaft. Assuming the fact in mind, the usage of two electromagnets will result in greater efficiency.
